2. You can help keep your A/C cool
Your air conditioner’s job is to keep you cool and comfortable, but you can also contribute!
If your room temperature is already extremely hot before you turn on the system, it has to work exceptionally hard to cool the temperature down and restore your comfort.
However, if you keep blinds and shades closed during the day, your room temperature will cool down naturally, and give your system a break. Preventing your system from overworking itself will not only extend the life of your A/C but also lower your costs.
You can also help your cooling system by improving insulation, sealing any leaks, and using ceiling fans or floor fans.
