As part of the program, homeowners can benefit from HVAC tune-ups. By participating in the SMECO Home Energy Improvement Program, you can get an HVAC tune-up at no additional cost — a $230 value!
Our tune-ups are tailored to meet your needs and improve the performance of your heating and cooling systems.
The tune-ups include:
- Cleaning outdoor coils
- Verifying optimal condition of coils
- Inspecting electrical connections
- Inspecting expansion valve and coil temperatures
- Checking refrigerant levels
- Inspecting and removing blockages and debris from the condensate drain
SMECO-Approved Thermostats
Smart thermostats give you greater control over your comfort and help you reduce your energy usage throughout the year. It’s a simple, cost-effective investment that will allow you to control the climate in your home from wherever you are.
Our SMECO-approved thermostat services provide a $100 instant rebate on qualifying models and no-cost installation of up to three Honeywell smart thermostats in your home.
Qualifying thermostats include:
- Honeywell T6Pro 2h/2c
- Honeywell T6Pro 3h/2c
To receive the rebate through the HEIP program, the thermostat must be purchased and installed by a SMEC-approved installation contractor.
